Photographer, Artist, Pilot

Phillip Angert is a photographer and artist based in New York City.

Shoots commissioned for clients such as Levis, Rayban, Diesel, Rock and Republic, AOL, Motorola, American Express, and others, have set Phillip apart by showcasing his original and alternative approach to traditional photography. His incorporation of stop-motion animated stills, vivid light-paintings and high energy photo shoots have created a reputation for Phillip as a noted photographer in dozens of industries. His work has been published in Vogue, Spin, TimeOut, Paper, Dazed and Confused, W, Fader, Architectural Digest, New York Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and many others.

His integration of design, engineering, and photography, created a novel type of metal-etch processing that emerged as a new medium of artwork. By combining industrial techniques of circuit board fabrication and high-res digital photography, Phillip created a chemical screening process for joining digital photographs with copper metal. The union of his approach in the design and artistic communities has established a place in the collection of many prominent artists and musicians.

Phillip has a background in Architectural Acoustics, designing environments and venues for music, theater and opera. He is also an aircraft pilot, and maintains a website www.PilotPortraits.com
